Apple-Nokia Trouble

A few days back Nokia filed a complaint against Apple for patent infringement. The lawsuit against Apple is not for one single product, but for all Apple products. Nokia claims that Apple has allegedly applied Nokia’s user interface, digital cameras, antennas and power management to design its products.

This is not the first time that Nokia has alleged Apple of violating the patent rights. Just a couple days before the incident, Nokia has filed a lawsuit to US ITC(International Trade Commission) against Apple. And Apple had reverted with identical patent infringement complaint against Apple. A little after Nokia???s sue, Apple went public and said that Nokia had infringed 13 of Apple???s patents.

This past year in 2009, Apple did outstanding business and sold about millions of units by the end of the year. What’s more, it is said, Apple couldn’t meet the excessive demands from its consumers. And just as the year started out, there was something unpleasant waiting for it.

Nokia claims it has around 1000 patent fillings (Nokia). And that Apple has duplicated Nokia???s work not just for one product but for all their products.

Once Nokia wins the case, Apple will need to withdraw selling its products which come under patent infringement??? which will be dreadful both for Apple and Apple buyers. Remember, though, this situation would require several years to solve. Also who knows in the meanwhile, yet other competitors will be in news for a similar complications. Let???s wait and watch which one is the next mobile organization|brand to get into the dispute and what the allegation will be.
